Details:

The Subject Expert will be a team member of the School and Teacher Education Reform programme of the ICICI Foundation for Inclusive Growth, in collaboration with the Government of Chhattisgarh. He/ She will be responsible for effective programme implementation by efficient management of the District and school level work through the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET).

His/ Her major responsibilities will include the following:

  • Support textbook writing and lesson planning
  • Preparation of annual academic plan of DIET and for schools
  • Preparation of training module for content enrichment
  • Able to organise training and workshop among the DIETs , BRCs , CRCs and School Head Masters
  • Able to innovate creative teaching learning processes from the context and organise math mela, science mela etc.
  • Able to visualise culturally responsive classrooms in their own subject area
  • Coordination between USTE and DIET
  • Able to teach up to Elementary level, both teachers as well as the Students of primary and Upper Primary levels, in tune with NCF 2005 and RtE 2009, using appropriate TLM
  • Able to develop and demonstrate the contextual TLM from within the immediate environment of Children
  • Able to evaluate content and process of the school text
  • Able to substantially contribute in Teacher Education, Curriculum Development and Textbook Development in their own subject areas
  • Able to diagnose issues and challenges in their localities and accordingly plan creatively to resolve the issues
  • To create a resource pool of resource persons of his own subject area from DIET and School
  • Expertise in programme evaluation and research in the context of CCE
  • Ability to ensure equitable quality education, address Gender sensitivity and inclusive education in the context of RtE-2009

Other requirements:

  • Atleast 4-5 years professional work experience in the field of education
  • Knowledge of provisions under the NCF 2005 and RtE Act 2009
  • Minimum working knowledge of computers (MS-Office, Internet)
  • Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English and Hindi are essential to manage multiple institutional relationships and stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel to the block and villages on regular basis

Consultant - District Coordinators in selected districts of Rajasthan

Consultant - District Coordinators for selected districts of Rajasthan

The District Coordinator will be a team member of the School and Teacher Education Reform programme of the ICICI Foundation for Inclusive Growth in collaboration with the Government of Rajasthan. He/She will be responsible for effective programme implementation by efficient management of the district, block and school level work through the District Institute for Educational and Training (DIET) . His/her major responsibility would be to strengthen the DIET as the district level academic body. It will include following:

  • Support the DIETs to build the academic interventions, conduct workshops and develop need based training methodology. 
  • Strengthen 50 schools as RtE compliant (School/classroom environment, classroom transaction, SMC, CCE) · Liaise with DIETs, district, blocks, nodal level educational functionaries and schools and strengthen linkages among them to effectively deal with issues of educational processes, increasing retention rate, mapping progress levels and other needs of schools 
  • Ensuring the participation of the DIET faculty in the pre-service curriculum revision, in-service teacher training and the school level work at the blocks and providing academic enrichment and guidance to the selected schools for RtE compliance 
  • Develop need-based capacity building programs for DIET, block and nodal functionaries
  • Support to various need based assessments and research studies for teacher professional development
  • Supporting the block level team in developing plans for school level work and mechanism for review the work done

He/She will report to the State Head and Project Officer – District and Block Level work in the Unit for Teacher Education.

Requirements: 

  • M.A./MSc. and B Ed. essential, MEd. preferred
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in the field of education 
  • Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English and Hindi are essential to manage multiple institutional relationships and stakeholders 
  • Good documentation and computer skills
  • Willingness to travel to the block and villages on regular basis
  • Knowledge of provisions under the NCF 2005 and RtE Act 2010
  • Ability to adapt easily and be effective in challenging work environments

Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience of the candidate.
