Rural Landscape
Rural development strengthens the overall ecosystem, as it supports both community well-being and the growth of local entrepreneurship. It creates the foundation for livelihoods, enabling individuals to engage productively with resources and markets.
However, rural areas continue to face persistent challenges such as limited livelihood opportunities, lack of access to resources, and constrained infrastructure and institutional support. These gaps restrict productivity and limit the ability of communities to fully realise their potential.
Our Approach
Our approach focuses on building an integrated value chain, from production to market and translation from lab to land. It begins at the primary level with raw produce, followed by initial processing at the village level including collection, sorting, and grading. We then move to secondary processing for value addition such as pulping, powdering, and flaking and further to tertiary stages of packaging and branding.
Finally, these products are linked to retail channels like bakeries, shops, and cafés, ensuring market access. At the core of this model is a focus on women and tribal communities enabling sustainable livelihoods and inclusive development. We collaborate with leading institutions like ICAR and EDII, to work on research and develop value chains in partnerships. We further engage with regional nodes like specialised agricultural universities and then with FPOs at the ground level, connecting lab to land.
