How do I begin my application process?

To apply for the programme you must first register on the site after which you will receive an authentication link via e-mail. This link will redirect you to the application form, which you must fill out as per the instructions and submit in order to apply for the programme

How do I register on the site?

To register on our site, please click on the ‘Login/Register’ tab and fill in your details in the register section.

How do I change my password?

Once you register, you will receive a confirmation email at your registered email address. You must click on the link to validate your account. Once you do that, you will be taken to a page that allows you to change your password.

If you have already activated your account, and want to change your password, log into your account and use the “edit profile” option.

What happens if I forget my password?

If you happen to forget your password, click on the ‘Forgot your password?’ link in the Login section. Enter your registered email ID, and click ‘Submit’. A new password will be generated and emailed to you.

I have already registered on your website, but I have not received an email confirmation yet. When can I expect a reply?

What are the eligibility criteria for this programme?

What is the last date for application and other important dates?

The applications for the batch of 2012 are open till 29th February 2012. This is followed by Psychometric analysis & assessment days in the month of March to May 2012. The results will be declared in June 2012 and the programme commences in August 2012.

Do I have to fill out the application form in a specific order?

When you fill out the application form, you may begin with any section that you choose and you may also save the form midway to review and complete it later.

Are all the questions compulsory/mandatory?

You must complete all sections and answer all questions to submit your application.

How will I know that I have not filled in a mandatory field?

You will know that you have not filled in all the mandatory fields when the status of the completion bar on the top of your application page does not read as ‘100% complete’.

To know what information has been left incomplete you can go to the ‘Submit and Review’ section.. Here the unanswered mandatory sections will be highlighted in red text and will read “this is a required field”.

You can now go back to the relevant section and fill in the required information.

Why is there a word limit on the questions in the application form? Do I have to write 200 words in each section? Can I write less or more words in my answer?

The ICICI Fellows programme requires you to work at the grassroots level and this demands a high level of inner motivation, patience and perseverance. These essay types questions give us a change to assess your readiness to face these challenges. You must write up to 150 words in each section, not more. While you can write less, the word limit is indicative of how much detail and thought we would like you to put in while answering these questions.

The application form asks is I am physically challenged - is this something that can affect my selection?

While physical challenges do not directly affect your selection, our Programme Team needs to be aware of an applicant's disability so as to assess the suitability of the applicant to participate and perform in the programme.

Our Programme Team needs to be aware of an applicant's medical history and issues so as to assess the suitability of the applicant to participate and perform in the programme.

How do I save the application form?

To save the application form, you must click on the 'Save' button at the bottom of each page of the application form. This enables you to save the data you have entered.

What is the difference between 'save' and 'save and continue'?

The ‘Save’ button will save the page that you’re working on. The ‘Save and continue’ button will save the page that you’re working on and take you to the next section in the application form.

How will I know my form is complete?

Once you’ve completed all mandatory fields of the application form, the status bar at the top of the application form will read as ‘100% complete’. Only then will you be able to submit your application form.

How can I see my entire filled in form?

To review your filled form, click on the ‘Submit and Review’ tab

Can I change my application once submitted?

If you have saved your application form you can come back later to view and submit. If you have submitted your form, you cannot make any further changes.

I have completed all sections of the application form, but the status bar says my form is only 96% filled. How do I submit the application?

If the status bar on your application form says that your form is only partly filled, you must review your form to make sure each section is complete. Once your form is a 100% complete, only then will you be allowed to submit it.

Can I submit a hard copy of the application form?

Application forms cannot be submitted in hard copy. You must fill out the online application form to apply for the programme.

Can I fill out more than one application form?

Each applicant will be allowed ONLY ONE application for the ICICI Fellows programme 2012.

Can I submit my resume/ CV with the application form?

You are not required to submit a CV/ resume or cover letter/ Personal Statement as part of the application. As the first stage of application, you only need to submit the completed online application form.

I have submitted my application form. What next?

One you have submitted your form, you will get an email confirmation from us that we have received your form. If your online application is shortlisted, you will be invited to participate in a psychometric assessment.

What are next steps in the selection process & important dates for the same?

What is the psychometric assessment & why do I have to take it?

The psychometric assessment is the second stage in the selection process. It attempts to objectively measure your personality, attitude and sensitivity. It gives us an insight into how well you work with others, how well you handle stress, and whether you will be able to cope up with the intellectual demands of the programme. This test will be conducted online in select few cities.

How many Fellows will be selected this year?

The 2012 batch of ICICI Fellows will comprise of no more than 50 Fellows designate.

Can I apply if I reside outside India?

We do not accept foreign applicants for the programme. Non-resident Indians are not restricted, however please bear in mind that you will need to travel to India for the psychometric test and assessment days.

Can I apply if I am married?

We do not have a policy against this, if you are married, and passionate for social change and are willing to stay away from your family for 15 months, you can most certainly apply for the programme.

Can I take this up part-time? Is there a distance learning option?

The ICICI Fellows programme is a full time 15-month commitment and cannot be taken up part-time. There is no option to pursue this through distance learning.

I really want to apply for the programme but I cannot commit the time this year. When can I apply next?

Do you share my personal data with anyone?

The information you enter in the application form is strictly confidential and only the selection committee of the ICICI Fellows programme team has access to it.

Does this application result in a job with ICICI bank?

This is an application for the ICICI Fellows programme and in no way is connected to a job with ICICI Bank.
